For the perfect image quality, a good camera will be needed. For the best results, we advise using cameras that are able to stream in 1080p full HD resolution at 30 FPS. Models can use either webcameras or handycams connected via capture cards to stream on our site. The below cameras are not only highly recommended, but will help you with your Good video qualifications.

Setting Up Your Webcams: Plug and Play

Once you got your hands on your new Logitech webcam, all you need is connecting it to the computer via USB, simple as that!

However, to get the best out of your image, you might want to use the Logitech Webcam Software. This application is compatible with all Logitech webcameras, but is only available on Windows OS. For MAC OS X, you may use Logitech Camera Settings from the App Store.

With this software, you can adjust several settings for the camera, such as the intensity of the colors or the amount of light that enters the camera's lens.

If you need assistance with the camera setup, come visit us on the Online Support Chat, where we are more than happy to help you out: http://modelcenter.jasmin.com/en/online-support-chat/topic/technical

Recommended HandyCams

Please note that HandyCams are not entirely compatible with MAC OS X.

Handycams provide an excellent image quality and are equipped with optical zoom as well. For online streaming, a capture card and a splitter is required alongside the handycam.

Please note that setting up and configuring HandyCams require some additional steps and tools. We recommend these devices only to partners who have experience with such tools.

We recommend and provide support for the following HandyCams:

Setting up your HandyCams: Capture Cards

In order to be able to broadcast with your handycam, you need to purchase a capture card separately and install it into your computer. The capture card can transmit the signal from your handycam directly to the streaming software you use. Without a capture card you won't be able to stream with your handycam. However, the audio cannot be transmitted through the capture card, thus it is strongly advised to use a separate external microphone.

After you set up the capture card and installed the necessary drivers, you only need to connect your camcorder with an HDMI cable with your capture card. For streaming with a capture card in our standalone JasminCam software, you will also need a camera splitter program (either VerySoft WebCamSplitter or XSplit Broadcaster). About splitters you can find more at our Camera Splitter Guide page.

Our supported capture cards are:

Note: Some cameras may not be supported by certain operating systems.

Note: Some cameras offer the use of digital zoom which will decrease online image quality.
